So here's the problem.
A diabetic friend of mine has some struggles when it comes to workout apparel. Finding a secure place for her to put her insulin pump in leggings or shorts isn't so easy.
Due to the slippery and slick spandex of athletic clothing, my friend’s insulin pump typically doesn't stay secure. It will fall out often, weigh down, and bounce around in her pockets. In worst cases, certain exercise movements has led to her pump falling and the injection site ripping out.
Now that's uncomfortable
And it shouldn't have to be.
My goal is to create an exercise top and biker shorts that work for diabetic athletes. Fitness clothing that people can wear confidently and feel secure in. Clothing that is breathable, fashionable, and most important of all—functional. I will be making a high-quality, breathable, spandex exercise top and biker shorts. The biker shorts will have 2 side pockets in the waistband for her pump, and an additional pocket on the back, giving her options depending on what type of exercise she is doing.
Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident when they exercise.
